Maryland Adure LLC presents: the Juneteenth Collection...

Juneteenth, Freedom Day, is an African American holiday recognized as the emancipation of the last remaining enslaved of the Confederacy. Despite the fact that the emancipation proclamation, which is legislation that declared all persons held as slaves within the rebellious states to be free, was signed on January 1, 1863, union soldiers did not arrive to read the proclamation until June 19, 1865. The news of the proclamation, given 2 years later, ended the war and officially abolished slavery in all states. As a result, African Americans across the nation recognize June 19th as Freedom Day.

"'Free- ish |free-ish|, [adj]"  - Recognizes Freedom Day, while emphasizing the current injustices faced by African Americans as it relates to racism and police brutality in America and around the world.

"JUNETEENTH"- A classic modern design that emphasizes the holiday, Juneteenth.

"Nineteenth of June" - A design made to recognized the day "June 19".

50 Shades of freedom, "Fist" - a "Clenched Fist" which is a symbol of solidarity and support, also seen as a salute to express unity, strength, defiance, and/or resistance. This fist is incorporated with the many shades of unity in the African American community.

In celebration of the launch of our merchandise section and as a token of our love and support for the African America community and Black Lives Matter Movement,  a percentage of the profit made from the "The Juneteenth Collection" will be donated to an organization whose mission supports that advancement of communities of color.
